Forever Home Dog Rescue recently issued the following announcement.
Daxx - D2019322
Male Dog aged Adult.
- Good with cats
- Good with dogs
- Good with children
Meet Daxx! He is a 2 year old Rottweiler. He has lived on a farm his whole life and is still learning the concepts of city living. He doesn't yet know how to go up or down stairs. He is very much a "guy's" dog as his previous owner was an older gentleman. He loves to give kisses. He does not jump up on people or get on furniture (not even a bed). He does know basic commands such as sit and lay down. He takes a few days to accept you but once he does he is the most loyal dog. Daxx does great with other dogs and cats. He doesn't know how to be a real dog and play so we're working on it. He is doing well with the four kids in his foster home, also. He doesn't particularly enjoy entering his kennel but once he's in it he does well -- and is fully house trained. He does need some leash training as he pulls like there is no tomorrow, and a physical fence will be heavily preferred in his forever home. Last but not least, the saddest part is that he's heartworm positive so he is going to have to get treatment -- paid by FHDR. He is 107 lbs and just got neutered last week. His adoption fee is $200. If interested in meeting this handsome guy, please complete an application at www.foreverhomedogs.org!
